Let's Get This Party Started!

Ok guys its time to start looking at/listing specific issues that I believe the labor board will agree with us on the fact that we don't have solitary control over the ability to act as "Independent Contrators".  Let take the issue of the BS Contracts we were forced to sign or "we can go some where else"!
Above you will see pictures of the 1st page on the left is the top half of the page on the right, the bottom half.  This is the same contract We had to sign if we wanted to keep working although we could not have a copy of it before hand so our attorneys could look at it and make sure we weren't screwing ourselves by signing it!  Certainly not after we signed it either!
They think they have escaped legally by telling us #1 that if we don't like it we don't have to sign it and #2 we are allowed to bring an attorney with us when we sign it if we like.  Yeah, and i'm just sure you would have let my attorney look at it if I brought him along.  I think AAA knows that a majority of us hacks don't have $500 - $1000 or who knows what amount to have our attorney come and look at that.  I think they counted on it, part of their strategy so to speak.
I will say that in my opinion which is only guided by common sense, that 85% of it is just AAA covering their asses.  Write me an email AAA, I will write you back with an definition of common sense!  Anyway, I digress.  But I also believe about 15% percent of it is strictly encroaching on the ability to act as independent contractors in any manor we like!  It is also full of contradictions and so on and so on....
Do not worry AAA, I have no intentions of taking it to my attorney for monetary value.  I am here for the boys!    I am going to be taking it to the National Labor Relations Board when the time comes, and yes IT IS COMING!  Just dotting my I's and crossing my T's first!
Anyway my fellow hacks, if you remember when you signed it, it is  6 pages long and 8.5 x 14.  Too much to post on the blog, but I do have it and if you would like copies of it for your own use all you need do is email me with a request for them at pissedoffcabdriver@yahoo.com  I will be happy to email you picture files of each page!  Keep checking back often guys, I will be putting the instructions on how to post soon!  You can email me at any time though!
Thoughtfully yours,

Thanks for your efforts. As a fellow abused Tucson Yellow Cab driver, I am certainly distressed by Yellow Cab's efforts to use the current economic situation as well as the lack of regulatory oversight to bleed hardworking individuals dry to line their own pockets. The bottom line is that Yellow Cab is greedy, dishonest, and lacks any sense of fairness or moral character.

Who suffers? Not only us as drivers, but also passengers. We have to work extremely long hours (80 to 90) every week to make a living wage, deal with policies that change every day, and equipment that is poorly maintained, from the taxis themselves to communications and dispatch systems that seem to fail every day. Passengers get rude drivers, filthy cars, and poor service, because with Yellow Cab it's all about making a buck first and customer service fifth. That's my basic overview of the situation - I'll post more later.

    Thanks,

    Ted Hack

  4. STOP BARKING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT YELLOWCAB, INSTEAD CALL ACHHHS IN PHOENIX AND TELL THEM HOW YELLOW CAB MANAGEMENT TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS AND THE BS THAT YELLOW CAB MANAGEMENT TREATS THEIR CAB DRIVERS. ALL YELLOW CAB DRIVERS CALL ACHHHS IN PHOENIX AND TELL THEM HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT DOING VOUCHERS AND MAYBE YOU WILL GET PAID MAYBE NOT. COMPLAIN TO ACHHHS

  5. I HAVE DETERMINED THAT AAA YELLOW CAB COMPANY IN TUCSON NEEDS TO LOSE THEIR ACHHHS VOUCHER CONTRACT. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR BENEFITS FROM ACHHHS AND OR MEDICARE BECAUSE AAA YELLOW CABS NEVER SHOWED UP OR TAXI DRIVERS REFUSAL TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES ASSOCIATED. I INTEND TO BE THE VOICE OF ALL PEOPLES COMPLAINTS THAT ASSOCIATES THAT WITH AAA YELLOW CAB TUCSON.

  6. I GOT "SMITTY" ON VIDEO. SCREAMING AT ME IN THE CAGE AREA COMPLAINING TO ME AS TO WHY I CALLED MR(HUSSEIN OWNER FOR AAA YELLOW CAB COMPANY), I WENT TO SMITTY AND THEN WENT TO LYLE AND THEN BACK TO SMITTY AND I SAID I WILL STOP THIS MADNESS AND CALL MR (HUSSEIN OWNER OF AAA YELLOW CAB COMPANY), ONLY TO RUN INTO SMITTY IN THE OFFICE. SMITTY TOLD ME TO GET OFF YELLOW CAB PROPERTY. SMITTY CALLS THE POLICE ON EVERYONE ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU GO IN TO GET YOUR DEPOSIT MONEY THAT BELONGS TO YOU. I ASKED SMITTY WAS HE GOING TO STEAL MY DEPOSIT JUST LIKE HE HAS DONE TO OTHER EX-YELLOW CAB DRIVERS. SMITTY DID ALL THIS IN FRONT OF OTHER CAB DRIVERS AND COMPANY EMPLOYEES, RATHER THAN ALLOWING ME IN TO HIS OFFICE. HEY "SMITTY" I GOT YOU NOW !!!!!

  7. Hack Song for J. G. , Poet.

    Gabrolioliolio
Can take you where you want to go
Can even sing the songs you know
    This jolly taxi jack!

He knows all streets, all alleys too
All bars, hotels, all best ways through
    All anything fond hearts pursue,
    This wily taxi jack!

    A sager knave, I doubt you’ll find;
Or quicker wit, or sharper mind.
You’ll never hear one word unkind
    From Captain Taxi Jack!

He’s armed and wary whilst he prowl,
His arms: His wits, his grin, his scowl.
Long hours in weather fair and foul,
    Keep stalwart, Taxi Jack!

He’ll guide you safe through grimy ways
Through dangers of the back-street maze
Where fool and cut-throat lurks and lays,
    Knight Errant, Taxi Jack!

He hauls the blind, the lame, the ill,
    He cleans the traveler’s bio-spill.
Just pay the fare, he’ll serve your will,
    Old hireling taxi jack!

It’s here he dwells! In cheap hotel
    Town’s monument, grim crumbling hell,
    ‘Mid denizens of rotting dell,
    He’s just another hack!

He’s kept con-man and thief at bay,
He’s juggled madmen night and day,
    Avoided wreckage ‘long his way.
    An angel’s got his back!

But lonely-blind, when it seemed good
    (To starveling, even spoiled food)
Gave in, death’s worm entered his blood,
From front seat moved to back.

His eyes grew dim. His flesh bloomed sores,
    (Bright compliment to brief amours)
    Next casualty of secret wars
    From spirochete’s attack!

    Wan countenance with pallor pall,
Even though in cabby’s seat sat tall,
To sickness and despair did fall
    Lost noble Taxi Jack!

    Fiacre, Saint of poor chauffeurs,
Restrain your wards, when death allures.
Even though he refused to heed your cures,
    God rest our Taxi Jack!
